Berg Custom Homes & Design, Inc. is a husband/wife team established in the Flathead Valley of Montana in 1995. We have been working the building industry for over 25 years with our beginning in Portland, Oregon in 1976. We are a full service construction company assisting our clients with all aspects of construction. From lot choice to financing, floor plan design through construction.

While working closely together on all projects, Ed Berg, President handles all construction and quality control issues, while Sue Berg, Vice President specializes in the design and financing aspects.

During the past 25 years Ed has accumulated hands-on working experience with all aspects of the construction process. From framing to drywall, to custom interior trim, cabinetry and curved stair ways. This working knowledge enables us to provide a very comprehensive, quality oriented service to our clients.

As the building process involves much more than just the construction of a new home, Sue will lend her assistance in providing financing information available in the area as well as handling the design of the new home.

Many clients come to us with a basic idea of what they would like, others come prepared with a floor plan they feel would work but may need some adjustments made to the plan. In the area of design, with an extensive CAD program, Sue can provide a floor plan that will work for both livability as well as affordability necessary for your complete satisfaction with the finished product. Although many plans may look nice on paper they don't always work well for individual needs. The CAD program we use to design floor plans allows us to generate 3-D views of both the interior and exterior of the home before it's built. For those who have difficulty visualizing the finished product, this capability is of great value. For those who have collections of art work or antiques they would like to display, we can accommodate those items during the design process. When designing the home we use icons that are representations of furniture. These icons can be resized to the exact dimensions of your furnishings to ensure their accurate placement and display in the home. Many plans have extensive hall ways or wasted square footage which ultimately escalate the costs of construction. Our plans are customized to both your livability needs as well as your budget.

All services and information we provide prior to signing a contract such as financing and lot information, designs and bidding are all free of charge.
